A successful trial in France - Multicote™ Agri for asparagus

A recent trial show that fertilization with Haifa's Multicote™ Agri significantly increases the asparagus yield (more green shoots, and bigger diameter).

During the 2012 asparagus growth season, a trial was performed in order to compare fertilization effectiveness between two types of fertilizers: 

1. Controlled Release Fertilizer : Haifa Multicote™ Agri [4] 10-10-25+3 with 60% N coated 
2. Conventional practice fertilizer 

The trail took place in three different locations in France and was done in two repetitions. 

Methods and Materials: 
Soil: Black sand 
Irrigation: Drip line 
Asparagus Variety: GROLIM and CUMULUS 

THE TREATMENT

Control

Multicote™ Agri

RESULTS

CONCLUSIONS: 

The trial results were similar in other regions (South East, West and Alsace). The results clearly indicate that fertilization with Haifa's Multicote™ Agri significantly increases the asparagus yield (more green shoots, and bigger diameter). 

The profitability in all repetitions was higher while using the Haifa's Multicote™ Agri treatment, and the income per acer improved acordingly.
