Multi-K® prills in side dressing of winter onion in Croatia I want to share usable data for fertilization of onions and our experience and practice in Croatia. As you can see on pictures I made few pictures before and after application or side dressing with Multi K prills on overwintering onion.
In side dressing we use Multi K prills with 12:0:42+2MgO, and we apply it when onion starts with bulbing (5-6 real leaf). We use similar fertilization on winter and long day onions! Usually we use:
N: 160 kg. P: 91 kg. K: 200 kg. Mg: 25 kg.
Cost per ha is around 720 euro per ha! Last year we reach 70 t of marketable onion (long day)!
Data: Sawing: 15.09.2015. Base dressing: 650 kg of Haifa TURBO K (14:14:17+ME) Side dressing: 150 kg of KAN, 12.04.2016. 200 kg Multi K prills , 20.04.2016.
