For over three decades, Haifa has been delivering high-quality plant nutrition solutions to India, primarily serving specialty niches and providing premium products for high-end crops. As India's agricultural sector experiences tremendous growth—driven by both local consumption and export demands—the need for Haifa’s precision plant nutrition solutions is rapidly expanding.
In response to this growing demand, Haifa has taken a significant step forward by establishing Haifa India, a local subsidiary, and forging a strategic distribution agreement with Deepak Fertilizers, the parent company of Mahadhan Agtech Limited (MAL), which specializes in specialty fertilizers. This partnership strengthens Haifa’s presence in India and opens new doors for expanding distribution channels across the country.
To deepen our understanding of the professional needs of Indian growers and showcase Haifa’s unique solutions, a delegation of Haifa representatives visited India during the second week of September. The team, which included Tal Shani, Marketing Manager for Water Soluble Fertilizers, along with agronomists Aviel Zur and Ran Yakir, Mr. Sudhakar Mddila, Managing Director of Haifa India, and Mahadhan representatives, engaged directly with growers and distributors. Their visits spanned Pune, Nashik, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Anantapur, where they conducted field lectures and provided tailored advice to help improve crop performance.
“We met incredibly professional and forward-thinking growers, who are eager to enhance their practices and meet the quality demands of international markets,” shared Tal Shanni, reflecting on the successful meetings.
Looking ahead, Haifa plans additional visits in the coming months to strengthen collaborations, continue knowledge sharing, and further establish itself as a key player in this dynamic and emerging market.
