As part of Haifa’s 2030 Impact Goals, we are committed to achieving at least 60% recycled content in our packaging materials. Our production facility in Lunel, France, has been progressing toward this goal for several years. Starting at 20% recycled materials, we have now increased to 30% and continue advancing.
Today, around 8,000 metric tons of products from our Lunel plant—primarily controlled-release fertilizers—are shipped globally in bags containing at least 30% recycled plastic. This effort not only moves us closer to our Impact Goals but also ensures compliance with EU regulatory standards.
The recycled plastic used in our packaging is audited and certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI), confirming our commitment to sustainable practices.
To further reduce plastic consumption, we use continuous roll technology (FFS) in our packaging line. This approach allows us to adjust bag sizes to the product volume, minimizing wasted space and plastic use.
